ABOUT HAPPY TAILS DOG TRAINING AND MORE

     Hi, my name is Liz and I have lived in Colonie for over 18 years.  Over 10 years ago, I adopted an extremely abused dog.  I wanted him when no one else did, but I didn't know how to help him, so I signed him up for training, going once a week for two years!!

    Two years later my family had an incredibly well behaved, well mannered,

self-confident, loving little dog.

     It was then I decided I never wanted anyone to give up on their dog. Not knowing what to do or why dogs act and think the way they do, causes a frustration worthy of giving up. But it doesn't have to be that way.

     So I went to college for animal behavior and dog training. I mentored with one of the BEST local trainers and became a certified dog trainer. I continued assisting and working with the local trainer and continue to enhance my knowledge base with the wealth of information thru dog training organizations, trainer groups and the privileges that come with being part of such groups.

     Dogs are my passion. Helping families understand their dogs, how they process information, what drives them and how to work with them successfully is my mission.

    I have combined knowledge with simple explanations and a light and upbeat atmosphere.
